Workshop description:
Care begins from the understanding that care is a negotiation. It arranges our bodies and our relations, exposing how intimacy and dependence are shaped by control, vulnerability, and labor. This workshop invites performers to approach care as practice and politics, as movement that holds, transfers, and transforms. Through exercises in lifting, dressing, and support, participants enter a shared field where bodies learn to be together through a deeper knowledge that involves touch, consent, and agreement.
The practice draws from my experience within different economies of care and touch: performance, caretaking, and sex work. Each one carries its own rhythm of attention and exchange, its own choreography of giving and withholding. Nobody Care proposes care not as virtue but as composition, an embodied negotiation that rethinks how we hold one another and what sustains the body of a performance, any performance, to stay alive.
